Chinese Accesery and Jewlery

I know some of you wonder why Chinese people wear neckalices that we can not take off and braclets too. Well, *Hummmm* Thats right it is like a good luck charm. It is the budda on it that will protect you and keep you safe. Some of them when you go to the washroom you have to take it off. Strange is'nt it? The neckalice is ALWAYS green. I don't know why. They are sold at the temple. I think i have talked about the temple, but, it is like a chruch like you pray there.

Chinese History

A long time ago, china was a very sad place sometimes. The rich people there would treat the poor or not that rich people different. There is a channel called TVB or if you have this channel it is 801 and 802. Those channels sometimes show movies about chinese history. Did you know long ago some people in china did not have enough money to survive? When they were sick some of them pass away cause some of them can't afford to go see the docter. We should be thankful for health care. Also, some people when they kill somebody or break the law, they either get killed too. Or they go to jail. And yes... China does have a jail. This might be a surprise to some of you, Salt used to be the MOST expensive item. The boys would dress in a dress, kind of well, there are pants under. Girls can wear anything they wanted too.

Celebrateing The Moon Festival!

The moon festival is when you celebrate the full moon! Chinese people celebrate the moon festival! During the moon festival we play with lanterns.There are many different kinds of lanterns.You can by them at China Town! We pray to the full moon too. You can go to the lantern festival too.You could see them at ONTARIO PLACE! :)We also eat moon cakes during the moon festival! Moon cakes are like cakes but they are Chinese.They also have a Chinese word on it!

Chinese fruits.

There are many kinds of Chinese fruit. My favourite is the dragon fruit. Dragon fruit is hot pink and just a little green on the outside. But on the inside it is white and with black seeds. You can eat the seeds. There is also a star fruit. It is called the star fruit because it is shaped like a star. Outside and inside are orange.

Chinese Celebertys

There are also Chinese Celebritys. For example,Jackie Chan.You might know him from the''Hit'' movie The Karate Kid and The Spy Next Door.Also there is a famous Chinese Gentleman named Bruce Lee. He is the best at karate.But unfortuntly he got killed. There was also another Chinese celeberty that died. His name was Beyond. I love his songs. He fell off stage .... There you have it ,.. Chinese desserts,drinks and treats.

Chinese people also have desserts.Sometimes they boil red bean to make this kind of dessert.Did you know that Chinese people make candy to?. They make all sorts of different candies.For example they make milk,strawberry gummy candies, and orange candies and much more. Chinese people make a kind of freezie.The colours they have are white , yellow,and much more.Right now i have them at home.It's like normal freezies but,the just have different colours. I think the flavors are pink for strawberry, orange for orange, white for coconut, and that's pretty much it.Also they have drinks like lemon tea and chrysanthemum tea but it's cold.Oh they have much more.Also they can boil green bean just like red bean.
